SER‐CAT (SouthEast Regional Collaborative Access Team) operates two insertion-device beamlines at Sector 22 of the Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Laboratory providing member and general-user access to high-brilliance X‑rays for structural biology research.

Following the APS Upgrade, beamlines 22‑ID‑D and 22‑ID‑E beam enabling de novo SAD/MAD phasing, micro-crystal work, large unit cells, drug-design campaigns, and serial synchrotron crystallography with fully automated sample handling.

Operated by the University of Georgia under the direction of Dr. John P. Rose.
